Anthony Jenkinson was born in Manchester, England of The United Kingdom on December 21st 1948. He possesses a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Masters of Arts Degree and is a Justice of the Peace. He acquired his education at multiple prestigious institutions. His resume boasts schools such as Tyldesley School, Sheffield University and Gray's Inn (College of Law) all in the U.K and The Kellog School of Business , Northwestern University in Chicago, USA.

Anthony Jenkinson's eclectic work experience includes; a police officer for the Lancashire Constabulary and a Management trainee at Granada Television in the UK. In Jamaica he was the Legal Controller at Caribbean Cement company, the General Legal counsel and director for T Geddes Grant Limited and a Managing and Senior Partner at Nunes Scholefield Deleon & Co. In Trinidad he was a Director and Consultant for Bermudez Group Limited.

He has been involved in many directorships including; Bermudez Group Limited, Trinidad, The Jamaica Biscuit Company Limited, Barita Investments Ltd, (Jamaica Stock Broking company) and Xsomo International Ltd. Formerly director of Neal & Massy (Jamaica) Ltd, Pan-Caribbean Merchant Bank Ltd (now Sagicor Bank), Goodyear (Jamaica) Ltd., Colgate-Palmolive (Jamaica) Ltd.

He is involved in many professional associations such as: Jamaica Bar Association, Grenada Bar Association, American Bar Association and the International Bar Association. Formerly, President of the American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica (AMCHAM), Chairman of the Jamaica Salvation Army Advisory Board and the Chairman of the Farquharson Institute, Vice-President of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce of Latin America (AACCLA) (Washington).
